Route 624 in Augusta County closed March 14-25 for bridge replacement

road-work-headerRoute 624 (Lyndhurst Road) in Augusta County is scheduled to close Monday, March 14, through Friday, March 25, for a bridge replacement just north of Route 971 (Lipscomb Road). All work is weather permitting.

Signs will direct motorists on the following detours:

  • Northbound drivers will turn left on Route 971, right on Route 970 (Hall School Road), right on Route 632 (Shalom Road) and right on Route 664 (Lyndhurst Road) to return to Route 624.
  • Southbound drivers will turn right on Route 632 (Shalom Road), left on Route 970 (Hall School Road) and left on Route 971 to return to Route 624.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
