Again, enjoy those 60-degree temperatures today. You’ll likely wake up Mpnday with snow on the ground, and by the end of it, it could be as much as a foot of the white stuff.
The National Weather Service still has most of the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia, including Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro, under a Winter Storm Watch. The bad weather is expected to roll in after midnight tonight, and the watch is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday.
The precipitation should begin as freezing rain before changing over to sleet and then eventually heavy snow.
Highs today are again expected around 60, but the high Monday is not expected to get above freezing, with low temperatures Monday night in the single digits.
Old Man Winter isn’t going silently.
