The Rotary Club of Waynesboro is accepting applications for its 2024-2025 Community Grants cycle for local nonprofit organizations through Oct. 27.

Nonprofit organizations that serve the Waynesboro and/or East Augusta County area are encouraged to apply, specifically organizations with missions within Rotary International’s seven areas of focus and the Waynesboro club’s specific community focus:

  • Peace and Conflict Resolution
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Water and Sanitation
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Environment
  • Economic and Community Development

“The Rotary Club of Waynesboro has a long history of supporting the impactful work of local nonprofits, dating back to 1925. As we celebrate our Centennial year, we are excited to offer this funding opportunity through our community grants program, which aligns well with our commitment to continue our club’s legacy of service into the next century,” Rotary President Lora Hamp said.

Rotary Club of Waynesboro Community Partnerships committee will review all applications and announce selected organizations by the end of November.

Past recipients of Community Grants include LIFEworks Project, Waynesboro Family YMCA, Salvation Army and Valley Program for Aging Services (VPAS).

Interested organizations can download the grant application, instructions and guidelines by visiting the club’s website. Questions may be directed by email to [email protected].
