Alacea Lynn Gross-Bell, 26 years old of Waynesboro, was charged with two felonies, embezzlement and theft of lottery tickets.  In mid March, Gross-Bell’s employer, Everyday bp located at 1441 W Main Street, reported to the police department that she had printed off $1400 of Western Union Money Orders and activated $200 worth of lottery tickets which she later cashed in at another convenience store.  She has since been fired from the business.

Richard James Long, 31 years old of Staunton, was charged with one felony embezzlement.  Earlier this month, Long’s employer, Radio Shack located at 1725 Rosser Avenue, reported to the police department that Long had failed to make two daily deposits in late May totaling $1,982.54.  Long, who was store manager at the time, has since been fired from the business.
