VDOT traffic pattern changes in Harrisonburg area beginning June 9

vdot rockinghamNew traffic patterns will affect drivers around the intersection of Stone Spring Road and Peach Grove Avenue in Rockingham County in the Harrisonburg area beginning June 9, 2014.

These changes are part of the construction of the Route 280 Harrisonburg Southeast Connector project. Limited portions of Stone Spring Road and Peach Grove Avenue are scheduled to open on the afternoon of Monday, June 9. The intersection of these two roads has been reconfigured, and motorists should be alert for new stop signs and turning movements.

Continuing work on the Southeast Connector may require shoulder closures and occasional flagger traffic control in this area. All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
