UVa. baseball regional, super regional tickets on sale Friday

uva-logo-new2On Friday, May 9, ticket books for potential NCAA Baseball Regional and super regional tournaments at Davenport Field at UVa. go on sale at 9 a.m. through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office. Regional all-session ticket books are $60 for reserved seating and $45 for general admission seating, while super regional all-session ticket books are $36 for reserved seating and $24 for general admission seating.

Paid parking is in effect for both the Regional and super regional tournaments. A limited number of all-session parking passes covering all four possible days of Regional competition are $15 if purchased in advance of the tournament weekend. Parking passes covering all three possible days of a super regional are $10 in advance. Without a pre-paid parking pass, game day parking is $5 per day.

Ticket books and parking passes may be purchased in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall or by calling the ticket office at (800) 542-8821 or visiting VirginiaSports.com.

Season ticket holders and Virginia Athletics Foundation donors received a prior opportunity to reserve tickets earlier this year. Further, the NCAA requires tickets to be held for the participating teams for both the Regional and super regional tournaments. Therefore, not all seating locations are available to be purchased. Additionally, because of a larger number of visiting team tickets required by the NCAA for the Super Regional, available Regional seating locations will differ from those available for the super regional.

If selected as a host site, Virginia would hold an NCAA Regional Championship tournament featuring three other opponents May 30-June 2. If the Cavaliers were to win the NCAA Regional Championship, they could potentially host a super regional Championship (best-of-three) June 6-8 or June 7-9.

The 16 NCAA Regional sites are announced Sunday, May 25, at 9 p.m. The NCAA tournament selection show is slated for Monday, May 26, and will be televised by ESPNU at noon. The eight super regional sites are announced following the completion of regional play.

Customers ordering postseason all-session ticket books by Thursday, May 22 may choose to have the tickets mailed to the address provided. After that date, tickets may be picked up at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours or at Davenport Field Will Call on game day.

All sections of the grandstand (Sec. 101-109), first base line bleachers (Sec. A-F) and outfield bleachers (Sec. G-R) are considered reserved seating for both the Regional and super regional tournaments. General admission seating is located on the grassy hillside down the left-field line. Standing room is also available for general admission ticket buyers.

Single-session tickets for a Regional go on sale to the public on Friday, May 30 at 9 a.m. if available. Single-session tickets are $12 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission seating. Any remaining single-game tickets for a super regional would go on sale on Friday, June 6, at 9 a.m if available. super regional single-game tickets are $16 for reserved seating and $12 for general admission seating.
