The United Way of Greater Augusta impact funding to local program and services for 2012-2013 will be over $575,000 in direct dollar funding, the organization announced on Wednesday.
The Citizen Investment Review Team and the Board Awards Team work together with the use of an impact model and community needs data to see that donor funds are directed to community needs and towards programs that have quinatifable outcomes to address the needs.
Organizations are evaluated on their capacity to manage programs they request funding and those which have demonstrated the ability to improve education, income and health in the Greater Augusta region.

The United Way also anticipates based on last year’s numbers to leverage over $425,000 through the Familywize Prescription drug discount program.
