Traffic signals adjusted at Rio Road-John Warner Parkway intersection

Chris Graham

road-work-headerStarting on Wednesday the Virginia Department of Transportation will implement changes to the daytime traffic signal timing and sequencing at the intersection of East Rio Road and John Warner Parkway in Albemarle County.

The purpose of the changes is to move traffic through the intersection more efficiently during the morning and evening commuting periods when the greatest numbers of vehicles are traveling through the intersection. VDOT will monitor the performance of the intersection and make additional adjustments as needed.

Information about Culpeper District activities that will affect traffic is also available on Twitter at @VaDOTCULP and on VDOT’s website at: www.virginiadot.org/travel/travel_alerts/culpeper/default.asp.
