It’s still tight.
Barack Obama holds a three-point advantage on John McCain in Gallup’s daily tracking poll in the race for the White House, and a narrower one-point lead in the Rasmussen Reports daily track.
Obama is up 46 percent-to-43 percent in the Gallup numbers. The lead is 47 percent-to-46 percent when leaners are included in the Rasmussen rendering.
Without leaners, Rasmussen has Obama up 44 percent-to-42 percent.
One advantage for McCain in the Rasmussen numbers – he is viewed favorably by 56 percent of respondents and unfavorably by 41 percent of respondents, compared to 54 percent who view Obama favorably and 43 percent who view him unfavorably.
