Three roads were closed overnight in Augusta County due to flash flooding from Tropical Storm Debby.

In total, calls to the Emergency Communications Center were for downed trees (23), flooded roads and one tree that fell on a structure.

The road closures were in the 1600 Block of Patterson Mill Road and on Calf Mountain and Crimora Mine roads.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting that as of 11:40 a.m., Mine Branch Road at Crimora Mine Road remains closed due to flooding.

“Fortunately, the county did not experience major negative impacts from the storm,” said Mia Kivlighan, communications manager for Augusta County.
