The latest: Kurt Angle to WWE?

kurt angleHow much longer does Kurt Angle stay behind on the sinking ship that is TNA? Angle hinted in an interview with a British newspaper that it might not be that much longer.

“I can’t lie to myself anymore, I can’t lie to TNA, I can’t lie to WWE. Yeah, there is that desire to go back,” Angle said in the interview with The Sun.

It’s not hard to figure out why. Hulk Hogan was the first big name to leave, followed by AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett and most recently Sting. Angle is the last anchor left.

Angle noted the impact of those departures on the locker room. He also complained in a separate interview this week about the focus that the TNA office is putting on, of all things, tweeting.

“I just never thought it would get to the point where we have meetings on the technique of tweeting. Times are changing,” he said in the interview with Pocket-lint.com. “We’re getting more pressure from the networks we’re on. We just had a meeting with Spike TV and their representatives on who to tweet, how to tweet, when you should re-tweet. They want us to talk about things that are storyline-driven in character.”

Angle told the Sun that his contract with TNA is up in September.

“I’ve left my options open,” Angle said. “I’m very happy in TNA. Dixie Carter has been awesome, she’s treated me very well. She’s always been there for me, she’s been a great boss, a great leader. But I just don’t know when. Could it be this year? Maybe. Could it be next year? Maybe, but I don’t know yet.”
