Strasburg woman dies from injuries sustained in July 5 ATV crash in Clarke County

A Strasburg woman has died following injuries sustained from an ATV crash in Clarke County on Friday, July 5.

Madison S. Satterfield, 22, suffered life-threatening injuries as a passenger in the single-vehicle four-wheeler crash and was transferred to Winchester Medical Center where she later died.

Satterfield was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Virginia State Police.

A 2019 Kawasaki side-by-side was traveling on private property when it attempted a sharp turn which caused it to overturn.

The driver of the Kawaski, Nicholas I. Ehrhardt, 24, of Berryville, was not injured in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Ehrhardt was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
