The folks on the cast of the Fox Business TV program “The Big Money Show” seem to catching on as to why socialism is catching on with the kids – and it has to do with the $100 caviar hot dog that was among the offerings at a Formula 1 race in Miami earlier this year.
“If you want to have a caviar hot dog and spend $100 on that, that’s your money, like, you do you. But the fact that that goes on, I think, makes some people not, like, jealous or envious, like, how dare you. That also shows I think why we are seeing the rise of socialism,” said Taylor Riggs, one of the show’s co-hosts.
The Miami F1 race was in May, so, not sure why this was in the news for “The Big Money Show” folks today, but anyway.
Full disclosure: I’m not even 100 percent sure that Fox Business is an actual TV channel; I just happened upon this bit about the caviar hot dog, and it mentioned Fox Business, so, there.
Must be a slows news day, all the way around.

A self-styled financial advice guru by the name of Codie Sanchez was at the desk with the “Big Money Show” folks today, and offered the observation that the kids see the rich eating $100 caviar hot dogs, and realize that “the really wealthy are getting so much wealthier.”
“They’re able to see it. We could never see this before without social media,” Sanchez said.
Nor could we see this kind of stuff without the producer putting the $100 caviar hot dog from three months ago on the screen to spark a TV debate.
Co-host Jackie DeAngelis flagged the movement of more and more of the kids toward socialism as “envy.”
“I think when they see it on social media, it makes people feel bad, the same way they feel bad when they used to look at magazines, and if they weren’t skinny enough or pretty enough or whatever. And it’s that envy that is fueling the rise of socialism, because the visibility is out there,” DeAngelis said.
It’s envy – not doing all the right things, getting screwed anyway, having to work crap jobs, not being able to afford to live, and then seeing the privileged few enjoying the excesses of untold wealth, like $100 caviar hot dogs.
