Staunton Police seek shooting suspect

policecar3The Staunton Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a shooting that occurred this morning in the 100 block of Straith Street.

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on March 31, 2015, the police department received the report of a shooting in the 100 Block of Straith Street. The victim has been identified as Rakeem Moats, 22, of Staunton. Mr. Moats was transported to Augusta Health.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call either the Staunton Police Department at 540-332-3842 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-322-2017.
