State Police searching for missing Rockingham County woman

Cobb Harriett2Virginia State Police are continuing its search efforts Wednesday in Bath County where a missing woman’s vehicle was located on Monday, March 11, 2013, at approximately 6:22 a.m. The vehicle, a 2006 silver, BMW 325i, was discovered near Back Creek on Route 39 about a ½ mile from Route 600 in Bath County, which is located in the Mountain Grove Community. Evidence at the scene indicates no signs of foul play.

The vehicle belongs to Harriet C. Cobb, 62, of Rockingham Co., who was last seen by her family at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Rockingham. Her family reported her missing the following day, March 10, 2013.

Cobb is a white female with brown eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, 115 pounds and was last seen wearing a light green shirt and black pants.

By ground and air, Virginia State Police has spent the last three days following up leads and searching Back Creek and the immediate vicinity for Cobb. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to contact the Virginia State Police Salem Division at 1-800-542-5959.
