Shenandoah County | Alabama man dead after tractor-trailer overturns on I-81

An Alabama man is dead after his tractor-trailer overturned on an exit ramp on Interstate 81 in Shenandoah County on Friday.

David C. Wright, 66, of Crossville, Ala., died at the scene.

The fatal single-vehicle crash occurred at 2 p.m. on I-81 at exit 291.

The tractor-trailer was travelling northbound and taking the exit ramp when it went off the left side of the ramp, overturned and struck a guard rail.

Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.
