Russell County: Police release trail video images of suspect who fled traffic stop

A man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is wanted after fleeing a traffic stop on Sunday in Russell County.

A Virginia State Police trooper attempted to stop the Screaming Eagle motorcycle at 11:05 a.m. after reckless driving by the operator. The trooper also reported helmet and registration violations.

The attempted stop occurred in the area of Moccasin Ridge Road and Route 71. 

The motorcyclist did not stop, and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, the motorcycle became disabled in the area of Clinch Mountain Road, and the motorcyclist fled on foot.

Images of the motorcycle operator were captured on a trail camera.
