Richmond Flying Squirrels unveil 2015 coaching staff

richmond-squirrelsThe 2014 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants have announced the 2015 Field Staff for their Double-A affiliate, the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Taking control as the new Manager is Jose Alguacil, replacing Russ Morman after a successful campaign for the Squirrels last year.

Alguacil, (pronounced All-gwah-seal), spent the previous eight seasons in the Giants organization as a Roving Instructor and will become the fourth Manager in Squirrels franchise history (Andy Skeels, Dave Machemer and Morman). Alguacil, otherwise known as “Auggie”, will be joined by new Pitching Coach Steve Kline and returning Hitting Coach Kenny Joyce.  Kline, a former Major League pitcher with the Giants, will be just the second Pitching Coach in team history as he replaces Ross Grimsley, who is no longer with the Giants organization. I can’t wait for the season to begin.”
