New McAuliffe TV ad hits Cuccinelli on women’s rights

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s campaign released a new TV ad today, “Interfering,” highlighting Ken Cuccinelli’s extreme divorce legislation, which would interfere in Virginians lives by making it extremely difficult to escape a bad marriage.

The Washington Post recently shed light on Ken Cuccinelli’s ties to extreme anti-women’s rights groups, his refusal to support the Violence Against Women Act, and attempt to repeal no-fault divorce laws in Virginia.

“Ken Cuccinelli’s extreme legislation would interfere with the private lives of Virginians, making it extremely difficult to escape a bad marriage,” said McAuliffe spokesperson Rachel Thomas.  “From refusing to support VAWA to being the only Senator to oppose raising child support payments to match inflation, Ken Cuccinelli’s extreme anti-women’s rights record is far outside the Virginia mainstream.”
