Dr. Mary Clare Smith, director of Western State Hospital, will be the speaker for the Annual Meeting of Mental Health America-Augusta.
The meeting will be held Thursday in the South Board Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona.
The night will begin with a Social Hour from 6:00-7:00 pm, followed by the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm.
Dr. Smith will address new things at Western State Hospital and the impact of the legislation change regarding TDO admissions and state facilities being required to take admissions as the option of last resort.
Reports will be heard from the MHA-A Executive Director and officers. Retiring Board Members will be recognized and new officers and board members will be elected. All are welcome to attend, however, only dues paying members are eligible to vote.
