Update: Arrests made in Crimora shooting: Authorities investigating

Update: Tuesday, 1:43 p.m. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an early-morning shooting in Crimora.

Hunter Terrell, 18, and Kyle Edward Morgans, 30, have been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

They were apprehended at a residence in Waynesboro.

A weapon believed to have been used in the shooting was later recovered by investigators.

Both Terrell and Morgans have been ordered held without bond.

The victim is still being treated at UVA Medical Center.

 

First post: Tuesday, 10:40 a.m. A 24-year-old Stuarts Draft male is in serious but stable condition after a shooting in Crimora reported early Tuesday morning.

The shooting was reported at 3:43 a.m. in the 100 block of Crest Drive, according to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

The male fell victim to multiple gunshot wounds.

He was initially transported to Augusta Health before being transferred to the UVA Medical Center.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Investigator William Russell at (540) 245-5333 or Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017.
