Lynchburg man suffers lacerations to chest, face after altercation with father

An altercation between a father and his adult son allegedly became violent overnight in Lynchburg and left the son with multiple lacerations to his chest and face.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers responded to a malicious wounding call in the 8000 block of Timberlake Road at 2:50 a.m.

The victim reported that an argument occurred between him and his father, during which his father allegedly attempted to stab him.

No names have been released in the incident.

The victim was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical care.

The suspect, only identified as the victim’s father, has not yet been located by police.

Charges are pending.
