The latest on CM Punk: Is he done with wrestling completely?

Chris Graham

cmpunkLast week the news was that CM Punk was going to be at WWE Monday Night Raw. The news today is that Punk was never included in the script, and that the backstage talk is that he’s not only done with WWE, but done with wrestling.

The backstage talk has been all over the place, obviously, not just in the last week, but since Punk walked away from WWE in January. It’s just as obvious that WWE, most significantly in the person of CEO Vince McMahon, would love to have Punk back in the fold, and that the door is still open for a return, were Punk interested.

The question at this time is, Is Punk interested in returning? No one who has any insight into Punk’s thinking is talking publicly, or acknowledging publicly that they’ve even talked to Punk about wrestling or about anything.

The situation with CM Punk is wrestling’s best-kept secret right now. Your guess is as good as Vince McMahon’s, basically.
