King William County: Two dead after medical emergency results in crash

Two people are dead after an apparent medical emergency resulted in a crash on a dirt driveway in King William County on Monday.

Virginia State Police is investigating the fatal crash that occurred on Sullens Creek Road at 3:15 p.m.

Dorothy Hill, 85, of King William, and a passenger in her vehicle, James Corbin, 67, both died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

According to police, Hill was traveling down her dirt driveway at approximately 50 miles per hour when her vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Hill was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Corbin, of King and Queen County, sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Corbin was also not wearing a seatbelt.

The investigation remains ongoing.
