Friday, July 13, 6:30 p.m., Movie Night at the Library. Come to the library and enjoy a newly released movie on the big screen. Popcorn and a soda provided.

Thursday, July 14, at 4:00 p.m. Book Club. Read a novel, then meet with others to discuss. Ask at the circulation desk to check out a copy of the book-of-the-month.

Saturday, July 14, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Teen Lock-In. In the midst of our summer reading program the teens are invited to the library after closing for a lock-in. Join us for pizza, food, crafts, video games and flash light tag in the stacks (then go home and sleep in your own bed). Registration and parental permission required. Ages 12-17.

Thursday, July 19, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Stuffed Animal Sleepover. Bring your stuffed animal to the library for a pajama party! Leave them overnight for a stuffies-only sleepover, then pick them up the next morning and check the library’s Facebook to see what they were up to while you were at home asleep.

Tuesday, July 24, at 7:00 p.m. Read and Discuss Book Club. This monthly group reads and discusses nonfiction books. Ask at the circulation desk for the current book.

Friday, July 27, 6:30 p.m., Movie Night at the Library. Come to the library and enjoy a newly released movie on the big screen. Popcorn and a soda provided.

Saturday, July 28, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Summer Reading Finale. Celebrate the end of Summer Reading with hands-on science and technology. Pilot a Sphero, make your own slime, build a working electrical circuit, or give color-coded commands to an Ozobot. All ages.

Weekly

Monday

  • 9:30 a.m., Swing and Sway. This music and movement class is just the thing you need to get started in the morning. No stories, just song and dance. Ages 0-6.
  • 10:00 am-12:00 p.m., Chat & Play. Provides interactive play for your little one and conversation for you. Ages 0-6 and their caregivers.
  • 3:00 am-4:00 p.m., Board Games. Come to library to play a variety of board games. Bring the whole family, all ages are welcome.
  • 4:00 p.m., WPL Knitters. Bring your materials and socialize with other knitters.

Tuesday

  • 6:30 p.m., Story Night & Happy Tales. A story, a bedtime snack, and a chance to practice those reading skills with friendly, attentive therapy dogs from Positive Paws.

Wednesday

  • 9:30 a.m., Mother Goose Time is an interactive program featuring songs, fingerplays, books, movements, and nursery rhymes for children from birth through age three and their caregivers.
  • 10:30 a.m., Story Time features books, stories, songs, puppets, flannel board activities, and crafts for children ages three through five accompanied by an adult.

Thursday

  • 10:30 a.m., Story Time features books, stories, songs, puppets, flannel board activities, and crafts for children ages three through five accompanied by an adult.
  • 4:00 p.m., Summer Build. Get creative with Lego, magnet blocks, Duplo and more. Ages 0-12.
