The City of Harrisonburg has released the name of the 18-year-old suspect in a crash involving a police department vehicle Saturday night.

Diquan M. Grooms has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a stolen firearm. He was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

The 16-year-old suspect has been charged with two counts of felony hit and run, possessing a stolen firearm, felony eluding, felony receiving stolen property and obstruction.

The Harrisonburg Police Department blocked off the exits of Skyline Village Shopping Center after a car reported stolen in Charlottesville was located in the lot. The 16-year-old driver crashed into one vehicle and then rammed the HPD cruiser.

The two suspects attempted to run away but were arrested after a short pursuit.

There were no injuries to the suspects or officer.
