uva basketballNo. 8 UVA (1-0) hosts St. Francis Brooklyn (0-1) in men’s basketball non-conference action on Tuesday (Nov. 15). Tipoff at John Paul Jones Arena scheduled for 7 p.m.

 

For Openers

  • UVA meets St. Francis Brooklyn for the first time and plays its first of two contests against a Northeast Conference opponent this season (Robert Morris).
  • UVA owns the nation’s seventh-longest current NCAA Division I home-winning streak at 20 games.
  • Cavalier forwards Austin Nichols and Mamadi Diakite are expected to make their UVA debuts after missing the opener at UNCG.

  • Virginia held UNCG scoreless for 11:19 spanning halftime and used a 22-0 run to blow the game open.

  • Freshmen Kyle Guy (7 points, 3 assists) and Ty Jerome (2 points) made their UVA debuts.
