Frederick County: Portion of Martinsburg Pike to close for RR work on April 7

A portion of Route 11 (Martinsburg Pike) in Frederick County will close to through traffic at 8 a.m. Monday, April 7 for railroad crossing maintenance.

The closure is scheduled to be in place 24 hours a day for five days between Brooke Road (Route 1322) and Park Center Drive/Cives Lane (Route 1323) just north of Winchester.

Motorists can access homes and businesses within the closure area by approaching from the appropriate side of the railway crossing.

Through traffic will detour as follows:

Drivers approaching from the south (city of Winchester) will turn right on Brooke Road, left on West Brooke Road (Route 1320) and then left on Park Center Drive to return to Route 11.
Drivers approaching from the north (Frederick County) will turn left on Park Center Drive, right on West Brooke Road and then right on Brook Road to return to Route 11.

Route 11 is expected to reopen on or about Friday, April 11.

All work is weather permitting.
