Floyd County: Roanoke man dies from injuries in three-vehicle crash

Virginia State Police is investigating a three-vehicle crash reported on Sunday on Floyd Highway that took the life of a Roanoke man.

Kenneth Martin Wingfield, 69, of Roanoke, died at the scene of the at 9:58 a.m. Sunday accident.

Wingfield was driving a 2021 Harley Davidson north on Floyd Highway when the motorcycle crossed the centerline and side-swiped a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, which was traveling south.

The motorcycle then struck a 2023 Range Rover head-on.

The crash remains under investigation.
