Sixth District Republican Congressman Ben Cline insists that “(t)here is no evidence to support the allegation that Elon Musk or his team has unlawfully accessed or seized sensitive data.”

Good news, folks: we’ve got Ben Cline, who used to prosecute people over unpaid parking tickets, on the job looking out for us.

“Any access to citizen data is strictly regulated, and the role of DOGE is focused on modernizing outdated systems, not compiling private information,” Cline wrote in a letter to a Staunton constituent dated Feb. 6.

The constituent, who shared the letter from Cline with AFP, had written to Cline’s office to address concerns about Musk, the neo-Nazi South African immigrant who has been given full access to the Treasury Department’s payment systems, which Musk himself has acknowledged publicly.

Ostensibly, Musk and his team of hackers are supposed to be identifying government waste, not “modernizing outdated systems,” as Cline is trying to claim.

Going well beyond the goal of ID’g waste, Musk and his team have broken into the personnel files maintained by the Office of Personnel Management, giving them access to information on 2.2 million federal employees, and seized control of the United States Agency for International Development, which Musk said, in a Twitter Spaces meeting on Monday is “beyond repair,” and bragged, “We’re shutting it down.”

It’s probably just coincidence that USAID’s inspector general was investigating Musk’s Starlink over the company’s satellite terminals that were provided to the Government of Ukraine.

Musk wasn’t trying to shut down that investigation by extralegally shutting down USAID.

No way, no how.

“President Trump’s decision to enlist Mr. Musk is a bold step toward strengthening America’s technological leadership and eliminating bureaucratic inefficiencies,” Cline wrote in his letter on Musk.

Cline added that “(f)or over 20 years, Mr. Musk has undoubtedly showcased to the American people his unparalleled ability to drive innovation, develop world leading technologies, and ensure America is the world leader in energy, Artificial Intelligence, rocketry, transportation, and healthcare, among other fields.”

For all the fellating from Cline about Musk’s “unparalleled ability,” there was nothing there from the congressman about how Musk built his fortune through literally billions of dollars in federal contracts.

But then, what would you expect from a Musk fanboy who posted a selfie with the billionaire on his social media a few weeks back?

Fellating might not be descriptive enough.

“No one should have the ability to direct funds towards their personal interest if they are working for the federal government. That’s why we don’t allow Members of Congress or many other federal employees to receive federal contracts,” said Congressman Mark Pocan, D-Wisc., who has introduced the Eliminate Looting of Our Nation by Mitigating Unethical State Kleptocracy Act – the name of the bill spells out ELON MUSK – which would direct federal agencies to terminate any contracts held by a “Special Government Employee,” the designation that has been given to Musk supposedly enabling his looting, similar to bans for Members of Congress and other federal employees.

“Elon Musk is the poster child for this type of potential abuse,” Pocan said. “After more than $20 billion in federal contracts, there’s no way Musk can be objective in what he’s doing. Protecting the taxpayers has to be our number one priority.”

Protecting the taxpayer from, to name one of Musk’s DOGE stooges, a guy named Marko Elez, who has reportedly resigned from Musk’s hacker unit after the Wall Street Journal – that liberal rag owned by Rupert Murdoch – linked him to a series of racist posts on a social media account that was deleted in December.

Elez, according to the Journal report, advocated  “eugenic immigration policy,” encouraged people to “normalize Indian hate,” commented that Indian workers in the tech sector in the U.S. on H1B visas are “going back don’t worry guys,” and mused that he “would not mind at all if Gaza and Israel were both wiped off the face of the Earth.”

One final one from the batch uncovered by the Journal: “Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.”

No doubt.

“Elon Musk gave a self-described ‘racist’ and eugenicist access to a system that controls all financial payments from the U.S. Treasury. That system also contains the personal information including Social Security info of every American,” Virginia Democratic Congressman Don Beyer said.

“This is why we have a process to vet civil servants, and why we hire and promote them based on merit, not their personal relationship to some rich guy,” Beyer said. “How dare Elon Musk bully and threaten good people who spent their careers serving the American people when he brings this level of gross incompetence to his work.

“Everyone involved in hiring Marko Elez should be fired, and DOGE should be deleted,” Beyer said.
