Donald Trump thinks schools make kids trans: Do you need this fact-checked?

Donald Trump seems to actually think schools decide to make kids trans.

“Uh, the transgender thing is an incredible thing. Your kid goes to school, and comes home a few days later with an operation,” Trump said in an “interview” at the Moms for Liberty forum on Friday.

“The school decides what’s going to happen with your child, and you know, many of these childs, 15 years later say, What the hell happened, who did this to me?”

“Many of these childs.”

Stable genius.

The Moms for Liberty event, incidentally, was sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, the group that wrote Project 2025, the 900-page blueprint for a second Trump administration that Trump has tried to distance himself from.

If you need the fact-check on the schools deciding to make kids trans thing, one, shame on you.

Two, no, kids don’t go to school, and come home a few days later with an operation.

It’s a bit more involved than that.
