An establishment in Lynchburg had a customer leave and return with a gun demanding money at 2:30 a.m. this morning.

According to Lynchburg Police, the robbery took place at Bistro Brothers Restaurant and Entertainment.

Frederick Omare Miller, 38, of Lynchburg, was taken into custody without incident.

Miller has been charged with several offenses including:

  • Firearm possession by a felon
  • Firearm use in commission of a felony
  • Robbery using a firearm

The amount of money stolen during the armed robbery was not disclosed.

The establishment, in a former Win City location, recently opened in the 6100 block of Fort Avenue. Residents recently speculated in an online thread that the business was everything from a strip club to a game room to another skills game operation. The exact nature of the business isn’t clear, and there doesn’t appear to be a website or Facebook page set up for the business.

Lynchburg Police officers responded to the scene, and after a brief investigation, located Miller approximately four hours later at his residence in the 1100 block of Lindsay Street.

The armed robbery remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Dempsey at (434) 455-6162 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.
