Vector Industries has named Chrissy Johnston as its new chief executive officer. Johnston, a resident of Staunton who is the mother of three adult children, succeeds Kent Iberg, who had served as CEO at Vector, a leading provider of assembly, packaging and logistics services, for 10 years.
“I am excited and thrilled with this opportunity. Naturally, my goal will be to insure we fulfill our mission which is to provide employment opportunities for the disabled citizens of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County. And growth is always on my radar,” said Johnston, who had served as the director of sales and marketing at Vector for the past year after working in similar capacities in the homebuilding industry in the Richmond, Va., area for more than 25 years.
Founded in 1969, this year marks Vector’s 45th year of operations. Johnston is picking up from her efforts in marketing and sales to increase the company’s visibility in the local and state business community.
“We’ve been heavily promoting the existence of this organization for the last year. We’ve been a fantastic resource to area manufacturers since 1969. Touring our plant is the first step since seeing the abilities of our employees is amazing,” Johnston said.
