JMU moves up start of football game with Wagner due to weather

The forecast for severe weather in the Valley on Saturday has JMU Athletics moving up the scheduled start of the JMU-Wagner football game to noon ET.

The game was originally scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

A statement from the school notes that “(a)fter extensive conversations with meteorologists about the threat of heavy rain and lightning Saturday afternoon, JMU Athletics believes it’s in everyone’s best interest for safety and to ensure the game can be completed.”

The game will still stream on ESPN+.
