Zero-emission vehicle showcase illustrates progress of clean energy in U.S.

Virginia Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition and bicameral Electrification Caucus are participating in an interactive medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle showcase.

The showcase on Capitol Hill this afternoon includes an electric semi-truck, a school bus, a delivery van and an ice cream truck to highlight the historic progress in bringing clean energy manufacturing investments and jobs back to the United States.

Other participants in the showcase are U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko of New York, U.S. Rep. Doris Matsui of California and co-chair of SEEC, U.S. Rep. Nanette Barragán of California, U.S. Rep. Jared Huffman of California, CALSTART Head of Policy Trisha Dello Iacono, Watt EV CEO Salim Youssefzadeh, Lion Electric Senior Vice-President of Commercial Development Nate Baguio, Moms Clean Air Force‘s Julie and Margot Kimmel and Ceres Senior Director of Federal Policy Zach Friedman.

Members and other event participants will address the audience and answer questions from media.
