Augusta Health employees earn certifications

Chris Graham

During the last quarter, two Augusta Health employees have earned national certifications in their areas of expertise. These certifications require demonstration of extensive knowledge in a subject area, usually by examination.

“We encourage all of our employees to pursue national certification. These credentials are evidence of a high level of knowledge and skill, and earning them shows a desire for excellence. This translates to improved quality and service excellence for our patients and clients,” said Mary N. Mannix, FACHE and CEO of Augusta Health.

Augusta Health employees earning advanced national certifications in the last quarter are:

  • Danita Evans, Laboratory, Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Chad Reed, Lifetime Fitness, Certified Tennis Professional 5A

Evans’ certification recognizes her skills in drawing blood for analysis or other medical purposes. Reed is one of only 51 tennis professionals world-wide who have earned the highest 5A status. To attain 5A certification, he completed multiple professional development courses over several years.
