A pop-up clinic held last weekend in Augusta County provided free services valued at more than $330,000 to 585 patients.

The Remote Area Medical clinic was hosted by the RAM campus chapter at the University of Virginia.

The two-day event on Saturday and Sunday was held at Augusta Expo Center in Fishersville and offered free dental, vision and medical care with no ID or insurance required.

More than 782 volunteers participated in the event including dentists, hygienists, doctors, nurses and optometrists, as well as support volunteers.

RAM is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide care to underserved and uninsured communities across the country.

Since 1985, RAM has served more than one million individuals through 1,600-plus clinics, delivering more than $215.4 million in free care.
