$80K of illegal drugs seized at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women

Three people have been arrested following a seizure of more than $80,000 worth of illegal drugs at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women in Troy.

The Virginia Department of Corrections has arrested three suspects and charged them with delivery of drugs to an inmate and manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance or an imitation controlled substance prohibited.

The three suspects charged by VADOC special agents include:

  • Consquela S. Lester of Roanoke, a VADOC probationer
  • Jennifer K. Robbins of Pearisburg, a former VADOC inmate
  • Courtney P. Snidow of Pearisburg

A probationer is a person who is on community supervision as the result of the commission of a criminal offense and released to the community under the jurisdiction of courts, paroling authorities, the Virginia Department of Corrections or other authority. This includes post release supervision and community corrections alternative program, according to VADOC.

On Saturday, Jan. 18, Lester, Robbins and Snidow were intercepted by VADOC corrections team members while attempting to visit inmates at the correctional center.

Staff seized approximately 100 Buprenortps://vadoc.virginia.gov/files/operating-procedures/400/vadoc-op-435-4.pdfphine and Naloxone strips, an opioid prescribed under the names Zubsolv, Suboxone and Bunavail.

Additional charges are pending for two current VADOC inmates.

This is an active investigation.
