The weekend series between the American League East rivals was shifted due to the ongoing tense situation in Baltimore in the wake of the death of a black man in police custody that has spawned citywide protests.
Alex Colome (1-0) and four relievers shut down the O’s, limiting Baltimore to four hits without issuing a walk and striking out 13 Orioles batters.
Chris Tillman (2-2) took the tough-luck loss, giving up two runs on three hits in seven innings.
