The following FREE programs are included with paid admission or membership.

Science Explorers:  Grab a lab coat and enter the Merck Science Lab. Each week will feature a different hands-on project to engage curious minds. Tuesdays at 4:00 PM 

Preschool Lego Time:  Caregivers and little Lego-maniacs ages 2 – 4 are encouraged to join us for this time of learning and fun! Jump into the center of a big pile of Duplo and start constructing! Wednesdays at 4:00 PM 

Minecraft Club (ages 6 – 12):  Love Minecraft? Join us each week for supervised game play and learning.  We’ll provide the computer (no outside devices allowed); you provide the fun! Limited to first the 12 participants. Wednesdays at 4:00 PM 

Studio Kids:  Meet in the Art Smart Studio and explore creative art techniques and materials Thursdays at 4:00 PM

Young ExplorersEach week will feature hands-on (sometimes messy) fun for toddlers and their caregivers.  Fridays at 10:30 AM

Preschool Pals:  Kids ages 3 – 5 are invited to dabble in a variety of subjects sure to inspire creativity and learning.  Fridays at 11:15 AM

Discovery Cart: There’s always more to explore at the Discovery Cart. Perfect for curious kids of all ages Saturdays 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

Special Events:

October 3: First Friday Free

Go Batty! Explore the secret night time world of bats, the only flying mammals.

No admission fee from 4:00 – 7:00 PM

2nd Saturday Family Learning Series

October 11 – Storybook Character Day!

Dress up as your favorite storybook character and join us for  a morning of crafts, game and reading adventures. 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

 

Enrichment Classes

Lego We-Do (grades 1 – 3)

Thursdays, Oct. 2 – 23 from 4:00 – 5:30

Students will learn about engineering and simple machines as they build and program Lego robots.

Lego Mindstorms (grades 3 – 6)

Thursdays, October 30 – November 20 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM

Students will practice mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills using LEGO parts, motors and sensors. Pre-registration and fee required.  www.iexploremore.com

 

In the Kitchen (Preschool, ages 3 – 5)

This class has everything young kitchen helpers need to hone their cooking skills! Classes meet on the first Tuesday of the month from 4:00 -5:30 PM.  Pre-registration and fee required. www.iexploremore.com

October 7th—Storybook Cooking

November 4th – Apples and Pumpkins                   

December 2nd—Holiday Favorites

 

Dissection Lab:  (Grades 1-5) This class series is designed for kids who want to learn about anatomy close up!  Classes meet on the third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.  Pre-registration and fee required. www.iexploremore.com

October 21:  Arthropods (grasshoppers and crayfish)

November 18: Invertebrates (worms and squids)

December 16: Vertebrates (sharks and fish)
