Augusta Dems schedule caucus

The Augusta County Democratic Committee will caucus on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona to select delegates to the Sixth District Democratic Convention and the State Democratic Convention.

Participants must be registered voters in Augusta County and sign a declaration that they are Democrats and will support the Democratic nominee.

Registration for the caucus will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the doors will close at 7:30 p.m.

Augusta County will choose six delegates for Barack Obama and five delegates for Hillary Clinton, based on the results of the Feb. 12 Democratic primary. Six alternates will also be chosen.
