The following is a schedule of events at the Waynesboro Public Library, 600 S. Wayne Ave., Waynesboro.

Note: The library will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 24 through Saturday, December 26.

Tuesday, December 1, 6:00 p.m. – Trim a Tree Party. Hear a holiday story and enjoy some cookies and punch while we decorate our library tree. Ornaments provided or bring a few to share. Upper level.

Thursday, December 3, 9:30 p.m. – Basic Internet. This class teaches you how to set up an e-mail account, use web addresses, links, and search engines to navigate the Internet. Registration required.

Friday, December 4, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Chat-N-Play. Active play and discovery for your infant or toddler – conversation for YOU! Open to children ages 0-3 and their caregivers.

Tuesday, December 8, 12:00 noon – Music at the Library. Performer TBA.

Tuesday, December 8, 6:30 p.m. – Pajama Night. Wear your best pajamas, hear a story, make a craft, share some surprises, and have a bedtime snack.

Thursday, December 10, 6:00 p.m. – B.Y.O. Christmas for crafters aged 9-17. Bring your own jar without label, CD, “too big” sweatshirt and mug; you’ll leave with unique items to keep or give away.

Friday, December 11, 7:00 p.m. –Friday Night at the Movies. New releases with free popcorn and soda. Call the library for the featured film.

Saturday, December 12, 12:00 p.m. – Breakfast with Santa. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here to bring some holiday cheer and here your Christmas wishes. Cameras are welcome. Please register.

Wednesday, December 16, 12:00-1:00 p.m. – Brown Bag Book Club. Read thought-provoking books and participate in fascinating and far-ranging discussion with other book lovers.

Wednesday, December 16, 7:00-8:00 p.m. – Wednesday Night Book Club. Read thought-provoking books and participate in fascinating and far-ranging discussion with other book lovers.

Thursday, December 17, 1:30 p.m. – Computer Basics. A hands-on less for people who have never used a computer.

Friday, December 18, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Chat-N-Play. Active play and discovery for your infant or toddler – conversation for YOU! Open to children ages 0-3 and their caregivers.

Saturday, December 19, 12:00 p.m. – Breakfast with Santa. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here to bring some holiday cheer and here your Christmas wishes. Cameras are welcome. Please register.

Saturday, December 19 – Saturday, January 30 – Iditarod Winter Reading Program. Sign your team up to read together. Complete the challenge and receive an invitation to the Iditarod Awards Dinner.

There are no story times Dec. 21 – Jan. 1, Jan. 18 and Feb. 15.

Monday
9:30 a.m. Mother Goose Time is an interactive program featuring songs, finger-plays, books, movements, and nursery rhymes for children from birth through age two and their caregivers.
10:30 a.m. Preschool Story Time features books, stories, songs, puppets, flannel board activities, and crafts for children ages three through five accompanied by an adult.

Tuesday
9:30 a.m. Mother Goose Time
10:30 a.m. Preschool Story Time
3:30 p.m. Kinder Klub for children 4-6 who are in school during preschool story time but not quite ready for Stories, Crafts & More.

Wednesday
9:30 a.m. Mamá Ganso, mother Goose in Spanish, features stories, songs, finger-plays, and movements for children from birth through age two and their caregivers.
10:30 a.m. Toddler Time has short and lively stories, puppets, songs, movements, finger-plays, activities, and crafts for children ages two and three accompanied by an adult.

3:30 p.m. Stories Crafts and More – the name says it all! This program features great stories, songs, and games for elementary school aged children.
