Our Community Place to host 10th annual Summer Lawn Jam

newspaperOur Community Place hosts its 10th annual Summer Lawn Jam Saturday, June 29, 2013 from noon ‘til dark at 17 E. Johnson Street in Harrisonburg – across from the Little Grill Collective.

Everyone with a belly button is invited to come out for a full day of music, food, dancing, musical chairs, water balloon tossing, tie-dying, face-painting, and more.  Attendees may sign up for the World’s Slowest Bicycle Race, or compete as human wheelbarrows.  They can enter the volleyball and horseshoe tournaments.  The fun is for the whole family.

A complimentary meal is served, with light refreshments provided throughout the day.

Featured bands and performers include:  Dr. How, Chris Kniss, Tom Weaver, Scott Murray, HBC Praise Band, Our Community Farm Band, The McLaughlin Brothers, Ears to the Ground Family, Jesus the Potter Church Band.
