Half of U.S. adults consider gas prices to be “too high” when it reaches $3.44 per gallon, indicating a potential breaking point on gas prices, according to a new consumer price index developed by AAA. Roughly two-thirds of Americans (62 percent) are offsetting high gas prices by changing their driving habits or lifestyle.

Today, U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) announced the introduction of the Government Customer Service Improvement Act of 2013. The bipartisan legislation works to improve customer service delivery across federal agencies, and a companion bill was introduced in the House by U.S. Reps. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) and Michael McCaul (R-Texas).

U.S. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) today was reappointed chairman of the bipartisan Government Performance Task Force by U.S. Senate Budget Committee Chair Patty Murray (D-Wash.). The Task Force, established in 2009 with Sen. Warner as its initial chairman, supports the Budget Committee by providing oversight and recommendations on ways to increase the performance and reduce the cost of federal agencies and programs.

Democrats in the Virginia House and Senate today urged Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to appoint an outside investigator to determine whether Cuccinelli or Gov. Bob McDonnell broke any laws by failing to disclose or mischaracterizing gifts, stock and trips from Star Scientific CEO Jonnie Williams.

Barefoot Puppet returns to WTA’s Gateway with Dreamtime on Friday, April 26. The performance is inspired by a collection of Aboriginal folk tales from Australia. A unique feature of the Barefoot Puppet performances is an opportunity for the audience to see how the puppets are made and how they work. The public performances are at 4 pm and 6 pm at 329 West Main in Downtown Waynesboro.

John Hardy, the acclaimed actor, playwright, director and former Artistic Associate at Virginia’s Barter Theatre, will return to WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, April 27 in his one-person drama Rattlesnake. Hardy plays sixteen roles in the drama with only a few pieces of furniture of props to highlight the action. It is a real tour de force for the accomplished actor. The 8 pm performance is at 329 West Main in Downtown Waynesboro.

When the Bath Senior Center Local Council unanimously approved VPAS continuing the process of seeking inclusion of the former John Wesley United Methodist Church, which the BCSC occupies, in the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register, the Council understood that the completion of the required Registration Form would be very expensive.

The third annual Virginia Post Grad All Star Game is set for Wednesday, April 24, at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Va. Top unsigned postgrad talents from across the country will take part in the game and the walkup to the big event, which includes a total of four team practice sessions beginning on Tuesday.
