The Salem Red Sox scored the final seven runs to win their third straight over the Wilmington Blue Rocks, taking three out of four in the series with a 7-3 triumph on Thursday night. Mike Augliera tossed seven strong innings to improve to 3-0 on the year, while the offense erupted late to overcome the early three-run deficit. Sean Coyle homered for the second straight night, while Garin Cecchini continued his red-hot stretch by reaching base three times.

A dropped third strike in the fifth inning seemed to do-in the Lynchburg Hillcats as they lost 3-2 to the Winston-Salem Dash tonight. William Beckwith hit his fifth home run of the season, and drove in his team-best 13th and 14th RBI of the season. That was the only source of Hillcats offense however, as they dropped game two against the Dash.

The Lynchburg Hillcats snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Winston-Salem Dash tonight. Navery Moore earned his first win of the season giving up two runs, one earned in five innings of work. Robby Hefflinger extended his current hitting streak to four games, leading the Hillcats offense with two hits, an RBI, and a run scored.
