The Lynchburg Hillcats walked off on the Carolina Mudcats, 7-6, in eleven innings in front of a record-high 5,840 fans at City Stadium on Friday night. It was the second time in three nights the Hillcats have won in walk-off fashion. Matt Weaver singled home David Rohm to score the winning run. Weaver had three RBI in the game. William Beckwith and Robby Hefflinger each contributed home runs in the win.

The Lynchburg Hillcats couldn’t match the bats of the Frederick Keys in Thursday’s rubber match, losing 11-7 at City Stadium. Robby Hefflinger hit his ninth home run of the season and Matt Lipka had three hits in the game, but it wasn’t enough. The Hillcats bullpen allowed eight runs on 13 hits in five innings of relief. The Hillcats defensive woes continued with a four-error night.

Down 4-1 after six innings, the Salem Red Sox finally figured out Carolina starter Jacob Lee in the seventh. Salem had mustered only two hits through six, but the Sox rallied for four runs on five hits in the pivotal top half of the seventh, surging to a 5-4 victory over the Mudcats on Wednesday night at Five County Stadium.

The Lynchburg Hillcats completed a four-game sweep over the Carolina Mudcats tonight with a 7-4 win. Navery Moore struck out a season-high seven batters on his way to his third win of the year. Emerson Landoni collected his fourth multi-hit game in just his fifth game with the Hillcats this season.

The Lynchburg Hillcats scored in only three innings in their 11-4 win over the Carolina Mudcats this afternoon. The ‘Cats scored four in the third inning, three in the fourth, and four more in the seventh. Ross Heffley and Emerson Landoni led the offense with three hits each, while Greg Ross earned the win in his second start of the season for Lynchburg.

The Lynchburg Hillcats gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but held on to beat the Carolina Mudcats 9-8 tonight. Will Skinner led the offense with a home run and a double. He drove in three and scored three times. The game-winning RBI belonged to Ross Heffley, who singled in Skinner in the top of the ninth to give the Hillcats their ninth and final run of the game.

William Beckwith set the tone from the start with a solo homer in the first inning, as the Lynchburg Hillcats marched on to a 10-3 win over the Carolina Mudcats. The Hillcats homered three more times, including one more blast from Beckwith as they snapped a three-game losing streak this week on the road. Four home runs set a new record for an opposing team against the Advanced-A Carolina Mudcats (formerly a Double-A franchise before 2012) in a single game.
