I had the chance to meet and get to know Elzena Anderson, a candidate for the Ward A seat on Waynesboro City Council, earlier this week.

The Waynesboro Woman’s Club is now taking nominees for the annual Outstanding Woman Award.

The Staunton Public Library has provided IRS tax forms through its Tax Forms Outlet Program, and will continue to do so, with fewer tax form offerings.

Policy Boards of the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) from Charlottesville-Albemarle (CAMPO) and the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro (SAWMPO) held a joint meeting October 8th at the Crozet Public Library in Albemarle County.

Jonestown: A Novel by Waynesboro Public Library’s Assistant Director, Ryan Roy, is the author’s first published novel, and he will be speaking about it at the library on June 12 at 7:00 p.m.

The Virginia General Assembly adjourned for the session without passing a budget or dealing with the question of Medicaid expansion. They will reconvene on Monday, March 24, for a Special Session to address these issues.

Attorney General Mark R. Herring has launched a two week public safety tour of Virginia in which he will hold 22 regional meetings to hear from local public safety and law enforcement leaders and local elected officials about challenges in their area and ways that he can help protect our communities.
