The Virginia athletics department will host Meet the Teams Day at John Paul Jones Arena on Sunday, Aug. 17. Admission for this annual preseason event is free and open to the public.

The Symetra Tour, the Road to the LPGA Tour, enters the home stretch of its season with the fourth to last event of the year at the Eagle Classic Presented by Bag Boy. The three-round event will begin on Friday, August 15, and run through Sunday, August 17, at Richmond Country Club.

The UVA men’s tennis program announced Thursday the hiring of Dustin Taylor as assistant coach. Taylor joins the program after four years at the United States Tennis Association, including the last two years serving as the USTA Player Development national coach for collegiate tennis.

Former NCAA champion and current U.S. National Team member Keith Gavin has been hired as an assistant coach for the UVA wrestling program, as announced Wednesday by head coach Steve Garland.
