Nutrition, health, sustainability will be focus of Farm to Table Conference

brcc-headerThe 2014 Virginia Farm to Table conference will focus on “Nutrition, Health and Sustainability from the Ground Up.” The three-day conference will take place Dec. 2-3 at Blue Ridge Community College in Augusta County and Dec. 4 at Virginia State University in Petersburg.

It will be hosted by Virginia Cooperative Extension, the Virginia Soil Health Coalition and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The event will feature presentations from David Kline, an Amish farmer and author; Dr. Elaine Ingham, a globally recognized soil biology expert; and Ann Karlen, founding director of Fair Food in Philadelphia.
