The ramp from southbound Interstate 81 to westbound I-64 at exit 191 in Rockbridge County is scheduled to close during overnight hours Monday, October 15, and Tuesday, October 16.

The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks. The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley: Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highland, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke and Warren.

The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week.

Since Tropical Storm Michael crossed into Virginia, the Virginia State Police have responded to dozens of calls for traffic crashes, stranded vehicles, downed trees, debris in the roadway and flooded highways.

Students across Virginia will be walking to school during the 12th annual Walk to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Three different Interstate 81 interchange ramps are scheduled to be closed from Sunday through Tuesday nights, October 7-9, in Augusta County near Staunton.

Part of Route 666 (Lofton Road) in Augusta County is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, October 8, through 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 9.
